Well I know I have been kinda MIA in the last few months but summer is SUCH a busy time for me. I work in insurance and it seems that between tropical storms , hurricanes and long weekend accidents this are very busy around the office.
I am going to try ONCE AGAIN to be consistent and write in my blog at least once a week.
Last night I saw my friend Tina and her Husband for the first time in 6 YEARS!!!!!! It was such a good night. I was great to sit back and just chat and laugh. I am completely amazed that after SO many years and so many life experiences that we managed to pick up right where we left off. We shared lots of laughs and many good and bad memories that have made us who we are today. I realized more than ever last night that her and I are alike in SO many ways. She is defenitly one of those friends who I see being in my life for a long time. Sadly though she lives in BC.:(
Changing topics a bit , yesterday was also Mikes 28th birthday. We didnt really do much ( becuase we plan on celebrating Sat with some friends) but we went for dinner at Tuckers Market Place. I have realized that buffets are not a good place for me to eat at. I came home and felt so sick and bloated and I don't even feel like I ate that much.

My Vacation
Well its Monday morning and I am already back from my vacation, WHY OH WHY does it have to be over already. COME ON!!!! LOL
I did however have a very nice vacation with lots of rest. FINALLY. However I am sooooooooo exhausted, even more so than I was before I left for my vacation.
We didnt do a whole lot , but we did end up going to the Zoo on Friday. It was alot of fun but I got a really bad burn, which will hopefully turn into a nice tan but I highly doubt it.
On saturday Rachelle and I turned back the clock to about 1998 and spend the night watching old backstreet boys videos LOL. It was too much fun. We were getting ready for the big concert in August ( CAN'T WAIT)
Sunday we spent the afternoon swimming at Mike's mom's and guess what I got burnt again. So basically I am a lobster, a very sore one at that.

Am I the only person who is getting so sick and tired of thunderstorms and rain??? With the exception of the last 2 days all it seems to do is rain. I am going camping this weekend and according to the weather network we are in for some not so warm and very rainy weather. WHAT THE HECK , this is the start of my vacation people , WHERE IS THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Weekend
I am going to try my very best to be consistent with this blog thing. I haven't been in the past but I am going to try VERY hard.
I am very much looking forward to this coming weekend. My mom is babysitting my little 6 month old cousin Damian and my aunts new puppy Oscar. They are coming over for a BBQ tommorow nite and it will be nice to spend some time with everyone.
Then on Saturday Mike and I are going on a picnic with our good friend Maryanne and Adam. I haven't been on a picnic for so long , but I am sure it will be good times. We are going to go to Websters Falls , which is a really pretty park in the Hamilton area.
I am looking forward to being able to relax a little this weekend and hopefully get some sun. (Yeah right:)
Anyway there will def be pictures to follow.

Backstreet Boys
So I have VERY exciting news. Rachelle announced to me last week that we we have section 102 row 14 for the Backstreet Boys concert.
That is HUGE news . I have never been that close and it is going to be the best.
Jen, Rachelle and I are all looking VERY forward to a night out. Its going to be great.
On a second thought. I went to see " Sex and the City" a few weeks ago ( as posted in my last blog) and it was GREAT. Probably one of the best girly movies I have ever seen. I loved pretty much every minute of it. I will not say which parts becuase I don't want ruin it for any of you who haven't had a chance to see it ( GO SEE IT ALREADY)

locked out
Its been a long while since I have posted, well that is because I am a lunatic and completely forgot my password and the email address I had my blog under. OH well I figured it out and here I am.
Not much is new in my life. My mom has moved back to Hamilton along with my little brother so it is nice to have them around. Last Sat my mom and I went to get our nails done together and it was nice to spend the afternoon together. They seem really happy here so that is great.
Mike and I are completely done the backyard, althought I am sure Mike will tweak things here and there as he sees fit. But is so nice and we love sitting back there and BBQing when ever we get the chance.
I am very excited to announce that I got tickets to see the Backstreet Boys. Go ahead and laugh at me I don't care. I loved them all through highschool and now that they are coming back I have to go. I am going with 2 of my best friends Jen and Rachelle. Funny story.... Rachelle and I saw them for the first time 10 years ago at the same venue and the same month. Its kinda like an aniversary if you will LOL.
I am going this friday to see the Sex and the City movie and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO pumped for it. Loved the show when it was on and now I can't wait to see where the movie takes their lives.
Anyway I am out for now . I will let you know how the movie was , although I predict that it will be fabulous.

Our New Backyard
So , I know it has been a while since my last post, however I have been really busy.
Mike and I have finally completed our backyard makeover and it looks great. I was alot of work but SO worth it.
Although I did not have a hand in the actually "gardening" I have discovered that I have become very handy. I put the gazebo, patio table and the BBQ together by myself. I am not going to lie I am very proud of myself.
I am looking forward to the summer and hosting lots of BBQ's.

My babies
Just thought to write about my dogs for those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting them.
Oliver is my first baby and I got him for Christmas 3 years ago from Mike. He is a toy poodle, black and weighs about 7 lbs soaking wet. He is a very loyal dog and just loves to have fun.
Chiko is the second and we got him from someone at Mike's work who was having her second baby and just didn't have the time for him anymore. He is a chiuaha/pug mix and he is moody. But we love him regardless.
Last but not least is Oreo, she is our youngest and she is part Shitzu/Yorkie/Bischon. We found her online from some people who were looking for a good home for her becuase they moved from a home to an apt and didnt have the time to walk her. She is very good natured and just loves to play.
Its kinda funny how all of them have their own little personalities kinda like people.

Great weekend
This past Saturday me and 2 of my closed girls Jen and MA, celebrated our birthdays together. The night was a great deal of fun and everyone had a blast.
For some reason when we get a large group of people over at our place someone usually ends up stairboggoning, let me explain what this is for those of you who have never had the chance to see it or enjoy the thrill of it all. To pretty much sum it up someone sits at the top of the stairs and then slides down on their ass. Sounds kinda stupid and dangerous??? Well it is but what the hell you only live once.
Well Mike and Mat decided to go down together and my little dog Chiko, wouldn't move off the stairs and was punted down the stairs. ( I know its not funny, but picture the whole thing happening) He was pretty much traumatized by these and spent most of the night hiding under the bed. AWWW my poor Chiko.
He is fine now and he has come out from under the bed.

Is your life what you expected?!
So, I just celebrated my 27th birthday, and it is a very hard thing for me to except that I have no entered my late 20's. 7 Years ago if someone had asked me what I thought my life would be like, this is defenitley not what I had in mind. Now with saying that, I am not at all implying that I am unhappy with the way my life has turned out so far. I have an amazing boyfriend Mike with whom I just celebrated 4 great years with. I have 3 dogs that I love to death and ask any of my friends they are more like my babies, last October we just bought our first house, and I have the most amazing friends anyone can ever want.
It is funny tho how life can throw us some pretty serious curve balls. A year ago I didn't even know where my life was headed. But today I can see such a bright and happy future, not perfect mind you but happy.
I guess the most important thing I have learned is to just be happy with what you have been given, make the most out of each day and love your friends because they truly are the family you chose for your self.
